French Paprika Dressing

French dressing poured over wedges of iceberg lettuce makes a refreshing summer salad – and one that is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
This recipe makes 1 cup servings

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup (150 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) lemon juice
  • 4 tsp (18 mL) tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) dry mustard
  • 1 Pinch cayenne pepper

Directions

  • In blender, blend oil, sour cream, lemon juice, tomato paste, sugar, paprika, salt, mustard and cayenne until combined. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 5 days.)
