Asian Iceberg Bowl

This recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients

Salad:

  • 4 cups (1 L) iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup (250 mL) bean sprouts
  • 1/2 sweet red pepper, sliced
  • 15 snow peas, halved crosswise

Dressing:

  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) sesame oil

Directions

  • Salad: In salad bowl, combine lettuce, bean sprouts, red pepper and snow peas.
  • Dressing: Whisk together vinegar, mustard, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk in vegetable oil. Whisk in teriyaki sauce and sesame oil.
  • Toss salad with dressing and serve.

Additional Information:

  • Make A Meal: Top With 2 cups (500 mL) Sliced grilled steak or deli roast beef, and serve.
  • Makes 2 main-dish servings.
