Ingredients
Salad:
- 4 cups (1 L) iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup (250 mL) bean sprouts
- 1/2 sweet red pepper, sliced
- 15 snow peas, halved crosswise
Dressing:
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) wine vinegar
- 1 tsp (5 mL) Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) teriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp (5 mL) sesame oil
Directions
- Salad: In salad bowl, combine lettuce, bean sprouts, red pepper and snow peas.
- Dressing: Whisk together vinegar, mustard, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk in vegetable oil. Whisk in teriyaki sauce and sesame oil.
- Toss salad with dressing and serve.
Additional Information:
- Make A Meal: Top With 2 cups (500 mL) Sliced grilled steak or deli roast beef, and serve.
- Makes 2 main-dish servings.
