Apple and Celery Stuffing


  • 50 g Butter; (2oz)
  • 1 Onion; finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Granules
  • 1 tsp. Sage
  • 1 tsp. Thyme
  • 100 g Celery; chopped (4oz)
  • 1/2 Eating apple; finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 250 g Fresh breadcrumbs; (9oz)
  • 150 ml Chicken stock; ( 1/4 pint)

Pre-heat the oven to 200oC, 400oF. Melt the butter in a large frying pan and fry the onion for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the herbs, spices celery and apple. Season to taste. Fry for a further 2-3 minutes. Stir in the breadcrumbs and cook for 1 minute before adding the stock. Mix well.

Transfer to an ovenproof serving dish or make into stuffing balls and bake for 20-25 minutes, or use to stuff the turkey.
